CME Accreditation Statement for Physicians

The 19th International Congress on Infectious Diseases 2022, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 17/11/2022-20/11/2022 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 27 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.”

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.”

EACCME® credits

Each participant can only receive the number of credits he/she is entitled to according to his/her actual participation at the event once he/she has completed the feedback form. Cf. criteria 9 and 23 of UEMS 2016.20.

In order to help you issue individual certificates to each participants, please find below the breakdown of ECMEC®s per day:

  • 17.11.2022: 8
  • 18.11.2022: 7
  • 19.11.2022: 7
  • 20.11.2022: 5

The EACCME® awards ECMEC®s on the basis of 1 ECMEC® for one hour of CME with a maximum of 8 ECMEC®s per day. Cf. Chapter X of UEMS 2016.20.

AAVSB – American Association of Veterinary State Boards

AAVSB Statement for Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians

The 19th International Congress on Infectious Diseases, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 17/11/2022-20/11/2022, is approved by the AAVSB RACE to offer a total of 51 CE Credits being available to any one veterinarian; and/or 51 Veterinary Technician CE Credits. This RACE approval is for the subject matter categorie(s) of: Category Live Course: using the delivery method(s) of: Seminar/Lecture & Interactive-Distance. This approval is valid in jurisdictions which recognize AAVSB RACE; however, participants are responsible for ascertaining each board’s CE requirements. RACE does not “endorse” or “certify” or “accredit” any program or person, nor does RACE approval validate the content of the program.

MMA – Malaysian Medical Association

The 19th International Congress on Infectious Diseases, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 17/11/2022-20/11/2022, has been accredited by the Malaysian Medical Council for Continuing Medical Education with 20 Malaysian CPD points for the ISID Congress and 8 CPD points for the workshops. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

How to Claim Your CMEs

In-person Attendees

You must download the Congress app in order to claim CME credits in Kuala Lumpur. To claim credits for CME, you must fill out a survey on the app for the sessions you attended. After conclusion of the Congress, you will still be able to watch sessions online and claim credits for 3 months. You will be able to obtain your CME certificate on the virtual platform using your registration credentials.
