Toni DiOrio Joins ISID Team
The International Society for Infectious Disease’s (ISID) is pleased to announce that Toni DiOrio has joined the ISID team this month as the IKEEP Senior Manager.
Toni joins ISID after working at the American College of CHEST Physicians, where she grew the educational portfolio by creating new lines of business which resulted in additional revenue streams for the Association. Her expertise in developing strong relationships with faculty, membership and academic medical centers insured that relevant disease state content was delivered at numerous sites throughout the US in an engaging, interactive fashion. She brings this skill set to the robust ISID learning platform, IKEEP.
“What appealed to me about ISID is their global reach which is critical to the success of any organization. We live in a world where the population travels frequently, not only within a specific but to other continents. The COVID-19 pandemic has made the work of ISID even more consequential. I am eager to contribute to this worthy Society.” Says Toni.
The ISID Knowledge Exchange & E-Learning Platform (IKEEP) is ISID’s new online learning resource that will share open-access educational modules, webinars, and interactive discussions. ISID’s new online learning environment focuses on sharing evidence-based information for infectious disease management, control and prevention in resource-limited settings.
The content hosted on IKEEP will serve as an enduring resource for practitioners around the globe with a focus on low- and middle-income countries. Set to launch in October 2020, IKEEP will regularly share critical infectious disease knowledge covering a range of global infectious disease priorities and will provide content focused on career development and leadership skill-building.
Toni is dedicated to education: clinician, patient and community. She brings her talent to build and manage the IKEEP program.
