Dr. Leong Chee Loon graduated from Medical Faculty University of Malaya in 1993. After 2 years of working as Medical Doctor, he joined the Masters of Internal Medicine in University Malaya and completed his Masters Programme in 2001. He continued his subspecialty in Infectious Diseases, and did one year of attachment at Royal Melbourne Hospital, Australia from 2003 to 2004. Dr. Chee Loon has been working as Infectious Diseases Consultant in Hospital Kuala Lumpur since 2014. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Committee of Infection Control and Antibiotics Stewardship in Hospital Kuala Lumpur. He is also a Committee member of the Malaysian Society of Infectious Diseases and Chemotherapy. He has been working as an Infectious Diseases Physician in the Ministry of Malaysia since 2001 for the past 21 years, working through the SARS outbreak in 2010 and COVID-19 outbreak in 2020. Dr. Chee Loon looks forward to learning from all overseas delegate and expert forums at the ISID Congress 2022 in Kuala Lumpur this November.
