Dr Kalisvar Marimuthu is a senior consultant in Infectious Diseases at National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) and Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), Singapore. He leads the HAI surveillance unit at NCID. He is a member of Singapore’s National Infection Prevention and Control Committee (NIPC). He is a senior consultant in infection prevention and control for the Ministry of Health, Singapore. He served as a member of various guideline development groups and advisory panels, including carbapenem-resistant organisms, COVID-19, and Monkeypox, both locally and internationally. Dr Marimuthu’s primary research interest is in the transmission dynamics of multidrug-resistant organisms and emerging pathogens and the application of next-generation sequencing in infection prevention and control.
