Professor Adeeba Kamarulzaman is a Professor of Medicine and Infectious Diseases at Universiti Malaya and an Adjunct Associate Professor at Yale University. She was the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, UM from 2011 to 2019. Professor Adeeba has played a leading role in the response to the HIV epidemic in Malaysia and globally and is currently the Chairman of the Malaysian AIDS Foundation and President of the International AIDS Society, is a member of the UNAIDS Advisory Group and WHO Academy’s Quality Committee. Her achievements have been recognised through several national and international awards including an Honorary Doctor of Laws from her alma mater, Monash University, for her contributions to medicine and as a health advocate.
